Cut Once.
Full-depth asphalt cuts in a single pass. The X1™ PDC Pavement Saw mounts to any standard skid steer and cuts with true PDC diamond edges, not abrasive grit, reaching up to 10½ inches deep on a single pass where standard blades need multiple passes.

On The Job

Full depth in one pass
Standard blades only reach a few inches per pass, so deep cuts mean stepping down again and again. Our blades cut asphalt to full depth (up to 10½") the first time through.
One operator, in the cab
Replace walk-behind sawing with a single operator protected in the cab. It's safer and easier to keep on line. Watch your travel speed and let the blade work.
Simple hydraulics
Runs on standard skid steer auxiliary hydraulics with quick-connect fittings. Hook up and cut.
Runs on equipment you already own
No standalone saw to buy, haul, and maintain. The attachment mounts to the skid steer you already run. If a skid steer is on the job, your pavement saw is one hookup away.
Where crews use it
Cutting vs Grinding
A standard "diamond blade" doesn't actually cut. It grinds. Diamond powder is locked in soft metal segments that wear away by design, exposing fresh grit as the blade abrades a kerf through the pavement. Grinding a deep kerf means enormous friction and heat, which is why abrasive blades spin fast, engage shallow, and step down pass after pass, consuming themselves as they go.
PDC is a different machine entirely. Solid polycrystalline diamond cutting edges shear material the way a milling tool cuts steel, carving real chips instead of dust. Cutting takes a fraction of the energy of grinding, so the blade runs deep at low RPM and high torque (built for skid steer hydraulics), and its edges hold their geometry instead of wearing away. That's the technology behind the single pass.
| Abrasive Blade | Dark Matter PDC | |
|---|---|---|
| Action | Grinds a kerf with diamond grit | Cuts true chips with diamond edges |
| Depth | A few inches per pass | Full-depth asphalt, single pass |
| Cut Rate | Slower feed rate | Much faster ft/min |
| Blade Speed | High RPM, low torque | Low RPM, high torque |
| Wear | Segments consumed by design | Diamond cutters wear much slower, for much longer life |
The Blades

Lower cost per foot
Because the edges hold up, one blade outlasts standard abrasive blades many times over: fewer changes, less downtime, less spend per foot of cut.
Dry cutting, when the job allows
Run wet for dust control, or dry where dust isn't a concern on that job.
Sized to your cut
Six diameters from 19" to 29", in 2" steps. Pick the blade for the depth you need. See the chart below.
Blade sizes & cut depths
| Blade diameter | Max asphalt cut depth (single pass) |
|---|---|
| 19" | 5½" |
| 21" | 6½" |
| 23" | 7½" |
| 25" | 8½" |
| 27" | 9½" |
| 29" | 10½" |
CUT DEPTH = (BLADE Ø − 8") ÷ 2, ALLOWING FOR ARBOR AND SHROUD. CONTACT US TO MATCH A BLADE TO YOUR CUT DEPTH. DESIGNED FOR ASPHALT; ALSO CUTS UNREINFORCED CONCRETE UP TO 4" THICK.
